Throughout 2007, severe drought gripped the southeastern United States, forcing states and counties to enact strong restrictions on water usage. The conversations brought on by these developments furthered the discussion of climate change and how the water situation in the South and its effects on the populce might signal the state of things to come if the Earth's population continues to exploit its natural resources to the breaking point.
