On April 4, 2015 police officer Michael Slager stopped Walter Scott for a traffic violation. Scott took off running and a scuffle ensued. As Scott fled, Slager shot him several times in the back, killing him. I traveled to Charleston, SC to photograph Walter Scott’s family and Michael Slager, who was then in hiding. He is now imprisoned for murder.
